The importance of consistency

According to Salesforce it takes 6-8 touches to generate a sales lead. Those “touches” may come in a variety of formats and channels including:

  • online advertising
  • sales call
  • print ad
  • sponsorship of an event you attended
  • trade show
  • product packaging
  • commercial

Do yourself a favor and make sure that when your product or service is seen or heard that the visuals and the messaging are consistent. If you do, each time your ideal client experiences a “touch” it will add a strand to the rope of their awareness of your brand and what it stands for.

If you don’t, they won’t even realize they’ve seen something of yours before. Repetition creates familiarity. Familiarity creates comfort. Comfort creates purchases. So, next time you create a “touch” be consistent and reap the rewards.
